January 16 – Wednesday evening Caney Church came together to study and learn God’s word and praise Him for all His goodness. Service began with congegational singing. Bro. Jim Lafferty was our leader this week. He took prayer requests and praise reports. We have many concerns and much to be thankful for. Bro. Hi Lambeth led us in prayer. Bro. Jim Lafferty read Ephesians 1:3-14. How wonderful to know that we are loved by Christ and have redemption through His blood. Heaven will be ours if we ask Him into our heart and repent. We had good discussions and wonderful scripture reading. We were glad for our visitors. We pray that you’ll come again.
January 27 – we will have Bro. Keithly as a special speaker with dinner following. We’ll have soup, salad and dessert. Come be with us, you are welcome.
Sunday school opened with congegational singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were taken. Sis. Elsie Combs led in prayer. Jack read Matthew 13:44-46 for our devotion. We are studying Revelation in Sunday school and had a very good discussion. Happy Birthday was sung to Vanessa Mills. God bless her. She is a hard worker in our church.
Praise and Worship began with testimonies and songs. Singing specials were Jimmy Lafferty and Charlee and Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoked from Exodus 14:13. Going home was his thought. Only through salvation through Christ can we make Heaven our home. Are you longing for that home?
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Hi Lambeth was too hoarse today to lead the singing, but the Lord provided for us. Thanks to Him and Rose Sartin, Melissa Harmon and Ethel Metcalf. Bro. Jeff Shipley took charge of the service. He took prayer request and praise reports. Sis. Ethel Metcalf led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Melba Austin and Lila Roberts. Pastor brought the evening message. Matthew 11:1-19 is where he took his thoughts. How will we know it’s Jesus? Just look and see all the good things Christ (with witness) done. Through the death burial and ressurection of Christ we have assurance of eternal life. Sis. Ethel sang. It was a good way to close service.
Come worship with us, you are welcome.
