The morning service opened with prayer and our Sunday school lesson was “Unity In The Body of Christ.” Our lesson shows us how all of us are in this together for the work of the church and understand the purpose of God in unity and fullfillment of this purpose.
Happy Birthday wishes goes out to Duane Young.
Our special song was by the Gentry Singers.
Remember practice for the Christmas program Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. then our program is Friday night, December 21st at 7 p.m. and again Sunday morning December 23rd at 10:30 a.m. Afterward there is a gift exchange, men bring a man’s gift and women a women’s gift, if you want to do that.
Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Luke 2:8-22. If we are believers, the angel said fear not and be not afraid. This birth of Jesus has led to the burden of sin being lifted from you and we are safe in the arms of Jesus, that’s where to anchor your soul.
In our evening service after prayer and singing, some testimonies were given and our special song and reading was by Charlotte Reich.
Bro. Hall’s message was from Isaiah 53. The same Christ born in the manger is the same Jesus Christ who bore our griefs and sorrows and was wounded for our transgression. We are like sheep gone astray and should return to the cross.
