During the holidays, you don’t have to deprive yourself of snacks and desserts—just eat smaller portions. Just because its noon or just because the food is available, doesn’t mean you have to eat. Eat when you are hungry.
Slow down. Enjoy each bite and put your fork down while chewing. Take a small drink between each bite. Eating healthier is easier than you think!
If you don’t want to see our Center shut down because of the recent budget cuts, we would encourage you to call or write your Senator and Representative and ask them to do what they can. We are helping almost 40 families in their homes and an additional 30 families that come to the Center on a daily basis. We need your help.
We appreciate Ted for bringing by the turnips.
We appreciate Michelle Wolfskill for bringing the Ava High School Mixed Choir over to sing some Christmas songs for us on Tuesday. Those fifteen boys and girls are really talented. Perhaps she already knew that. They were very well received with a standing ovation and they can come practice on us anytime.
We have pitch games or pinochle games going on every afternoon here at the Center. We have puzzles to put together. We have chess and checker boards that can be utilized. Come join us.
Until next week, have a good one!
