Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Ava Place! What an amazing time of year it is. Ava Place is shining and shimmering with Christmas lights and beautiful music. Please come by with your group while caroling and share some of your Christmas spirit with us. This is a special time of year full of love for each other and love for our Savior.
This past week our loving Father in Heaven decided to take James Roberts home with him. We will miss him a lot around Ava Place, we love and have been thankful for the opportunity to be a part of his life and care. He has been part of the Ava Place family and our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who love miss him also. We are comforted in knowing he is no longer hurting. When he first came to live at Ava Place we asked him what he would like us to call him, he answered “Jim, James, it doesn’t matter”, since then he has lovingly been known to all of us as Jim James, which always made him smile.
The residents at Ava Place had the opportunity to see Daniel O’Donnel recently. It was fun to go to Branson and have a evening out. Those that went were John, Martha, Maxine, Jessie, Virginia and Mike. I (Babs) was lucky enough to go along with them. A great time was had by all!
The VFW came by and honored our vets on Pearl Harbor Day. They presented them with a plaque and then we had ice cream. It was a very nice ceremony.
Christmas is less than two weeks away and we still have residents to adopt! Please contact Babs or Debbie at 683-6999 if you are able to adopt a resident for Christmas. We have their wish list ready to help you pick out a few goodies to make their Christmas morning joyful.
We would like to welcome a new resident this week. David Matheson has joined the Ava Place family just in time
We appreciate you all for everything you do Ava! Please stop by and sing carols for us and enjoy some wonderful Christmas spirit with the sweet residents at Ava Place. May God Bless and keep you safe.
