Last Weeks News Tuesday, Oct. 30th, T.O.P.S. #0720 met and was called to order by Sharon with thirteen weighing in with a total loss of  2 lbs. Top loser was Sue. Ulla won the Hee –Haw contest.

Rachel had the lesson on “Take Diabetes Seriously” from the Cox Health newsletter and several recipes from the website. The advise was from newly diagnosed Gary Lewis.  1.You must make life changes or it can led to long term complications like kidney failure.  2. Exercise is important to avoid heart disease and nerve damage.  3. High blood sugar and high blood pressure can also lead to blindness.  The best advise watch what you eat, sticking to good snacks like popcorn. His favorite meal grilled chicken salad. Favorite exercise was biking. The meeting ended with TOPS Pledge being recited by members. T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit, international weight loss support group open to anyone seven years of age or older. The MO #0720 chapter meets every Tuesday from 3p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the basement of the courthouse, Come visit us and sit in on a meeting, if you would like to find out more about T.O.P.S. This Weeks News – Tuesday, Nov. 6th, T.O.P.S. #0720 met and was called to order by Sharon with eleven weighing in with a total loss of 3 lbs. Top loser was Audrey. Rachel won free dues for the month the contest. Sharon read us a letter from Ron Paul that was very encouraging.

Sharon had the lesson on “Best Weight Loss Exercises To Lose Fast” from Common Sense Health.com website. 1. Regular aerobic exercise, walking, biking,  and swimming. 30 to 60 minutes a day. 2. Weight lifting or strength training  these do not burn as many calorie but they build lean muscle. 3. Lifestyle physical activity such as walking and climbing stairs in fact any extra movement is good for you. For more advise visit the website.
