The deer hunters are having nice weather this year, not too hot or too cold. Several have gotten their deer so far. Lisa Richards got an eight-point Saturday morning.

Thursday morning Norma Cross and I went down and picked Kathleen Lloyd and Rockie up. We had lunch at McDonald’s then we went to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center to do some visiting with Peggy Jenkins, Irene Richards, Goldie Miller and others. Irene enjoyed seeing her grandson and his wife, Tina, from St. Louis last week.

Norma Cross was back up there Saturday to see Peggy. She wasn’t feeling good on Thursday her 89th birthday. She was better Saturday.

Saturday afternoon Dick and I went over to Duane and Roxanna Davis’ home for a visit. Dick was impressed over the work they have done. Duane has built a big workshop. They haven’t finished all of it yet. They showed us all the stuff he has been working on. Duane makes it and Roxana finishes it. Beautiful boxes of all kinds, rocking horses for kids, picnic tables and etc.

Freda Richards had several deer hunters in and out Saturday and Sunday. Sara, her granddaughter brought her baby son over for her to see. Sara’s husband went hunting.

We just got word Helen Dobbins is in the Mansfield Nursing Home. She was in the St. John’s Hospital several days. Betty Dobbins took her up there Friday or Saturday.

Worship service at Goodhope General Baptist began with prayer requests and worship song. Susie Adams sang specials as did Bob Huskey and Dale Robertson. There were 56 in attendance. Several were absent.

Bro. Jerry Hawkins preached in the absence of Pastor David Welsh. Scriptures used were II Timothy, chapter 3, “Perilous Times” and Revelation 21:8.

Bro. Jerry used scriptures John, chapter 10, “The Door” verses 1-18.

Ron and Judy Lethco of Mountain Grove and Rodney and Kayli Brown came out to Tom and Sue’s and helped clean out closets and put down carpet in the closet.

Frequent visitor of Tom Brown is Bob Jackson, he brings turnips and deer meat. Darrell George brings eggs. We appreciate it.

Isaiah 40:31, “But those who trust in the Lord for help – will rise on wing like eagles.”
