Today’s sermon by Bro. Rick Batten:  Psalm 37: 5-11.  Topic was Patience.  We sure need it during the holiday season.  There are certain times we need more patience than others-dating, marriage- the wedding day, raising children, shopping, etc.  Psalm: 37: 7-9:  Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him; cease from anger and forsake wrath; those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.  Bro. Rick said we all need to focus our attention on Jesus.  All will come to pass- bad winters, shopping, holidays, the big wedding day, car trouble, car repairs, etc.  If we will just be patient, God will be faithful and true.  Give him our patience and we will get through all of it.  Sometimes we need to give others space and understanding, and that will help them get through their problems.  Sometimes, we might need to ask a few questions to help us gain patience.  Every day, we will be able to find something to be patient about.  We need to get through each day in a Christian manner.  We need to behave ourselves for the Lord.  “Bite your tongue, pray more, and put on your Christian patience by being loving, sweet, and kind”- this is good advice for all of us.
