We have had an eventful week, Friday evening at Piland Youth Camp we helped in the Fall Teen Retreat which ran through Saturday at 11:00 a.m. There were 33 teenagers who came for the retreat and from what everyone said who attended, “everyone,” teens, counselors, teachers, cooks, helpers and speakers all had a great time in the Lord and enjoyed a weekend of fellowship. By the way, the food was really good to. (You really should’ve been there.)
Our guest speakers were the Wright County Sheriff, Glen Adler and Officer Jason Philpott of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both did a great job and answered questions from the teens.
This Sunday morning our message was taken from two texts, John 4, in the New Testament and Nehemiah 4, in the Old Testament. “The fields are indeed, white unto harvest” which leads to the question: “Are you, on the wall, in the field, or among the undecided?”
After morning worship service we had a feast in the fellowship hall, complete with rhubarb pie and German chocolate cake and not only did the congregation show me a great “Pastor Appreciation Day,” they wished me a happy birthday as well, (You really should’ve been there.)
As if that weren’t enough, after our fellowship dinner we went back into the sanctuary for a Fourth Sunday Singing.
