Gentry Church

Opening prayer for our morning service was by Doug Miller.

Our Sunday school lesson was on “Taking A Stand.” It takes courage to take a stand for Jesus and there may be a price to pay if we faithfully share the gospel with others.

Happy Birthday wishes goes out to Justin Gallion.

Our special song was by a group made up of Delores and Janice Young, Diane Graham, Glenda Miller, Joie Welker, and Narvil Tetrick.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from John 3 and was on “We Have To Believe.” Believing in Christ leads us away from the practice of sin. Believe is to trust, rely on, and depend on Him.

I called my cousin, Elaine (Yandell) Kissil in Morristown, New Jersey to see how they made it through the storm and she said they had no power or heat and it was really cold at night. The trees were down all over, but their house was okay and they were very thankful.

Diane and Howard Graham are the proud grandparents of a little boy, Blaine Harland Young, 8 lbs, 6 ozs., born October 18th. The parents are Darrin and Jessica Young so congratulations goes out to them.

In our Sunday evening service after special singing and testimonies Pastor Hall showed a video of “The Good Samaritan” and then we studied Luke 10 about those that passed by the beaten man lying on the street. We should always have a heart and love for our neighbors, perfect love casts out fear so love one another.
