November 31 – Wednesday evening service was cancelled. Several from Caney wanted to attend the revival meeting at Bradleyville General Baptist where Bro. Jack Clemans is pastor. They are good to come and participate in our special events.
Sunday opened in congregational singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were given and Sis. Tracy Shipley led in prayer. Jack read Acts 23:1-11 for our devotion.
After a good Sunday school lesson, Happy Birthday was sung to Charlee and Janice Lafferty. God bless them. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Jim Lafferty, Lester Hoagland and Melba Austin.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Special music was by Melissa Harmon and Jimmy Lafferty. Pastor Bill Austin brought his morning message from II Kings 19:14-16 and 18:11. What are we serving? Are we following false teachers? We need to read and study God’s word for ourselves. It was a thought provoking message.
We praise the Lord for the visitors we had today. You are always welcome. We had special altar of prayer for our nation and that the election will be as the Lord wants.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley took charge of the services. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Jack Essary led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Bill Austin, Hi Lambeth, Janice Lafferty, Lila Roberts and Melba Austin. Melba Austin did a special. Bro. Jim Lafferty was our speaker of the hour Sunday evening. He brought his message from Hebrews 12:11-16 and II Chronicles 7:14. Our chastening from God is coming to the remnant and to our nation. God wants us to be on fire, so to speak, for Him striving to do His will. If we want His blessings we need to wake up, repent and turn from our wicked ways.
Pray for our nation.
