Morning worship service opened with special testimonies and then special songs from Ella Faye Mitchell and Bro. Gary Martin. The message entitled “Rejoice In Hope,” was taken from Romans 12:12. Sometimes we fail to acknowledge that there is no bitterness, in the truly Christian life. As Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11, ” I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content.”
Our evening service began with congregational singing and then we were blessed with a special song from Samantha Mayberry. The evening message was taken from Isaiah 3:8-11, which addresses the ruin of Jersusalem and Judah, and the reason, “Their tongues and their doings are against the Lord.” Which is the same reason our own nation is in such difficulties now.
We certainly had plenty of extra seats, and yes I noticed, “Yours wasn’t taken.” Come and be our guest, we would love to have you, come worship the Lord with us.
This Friday night and Saturday morning will be the Fall Retreat and Camp Piland for teens from seventh to twelfth grade.
