It was so nice to see my great-aunt, Fae Pruett, at church Sunday. She came with her nieces, Florene from Texas and Genie from Indiana. Angel has begun preparations for the Christmas program at church and I think the kids have already started practicing. I can’t wait to see what they’ve come up with.
We appreciate everyone who has prayed for my Mom while she’s been in and out of the hospital over the past month and a half. We brought her home again yesterday and she seems to be doing really well. Also, we appreciate all who have been praying for George Welker, it has been very much appreciated.
There are a couple of important events coming up at the Breedon Church. The Breedon singing will be held the 2nd Friday night of October. Also, the Breedon Reunion will be the 2nd Saturday in October.
In Sunday School we talked about how tribulations bring us patience, and thru patience we gain experience, and by experience we find hope (Romans 5). It is so hard to see the bright side when we go through trials, but we always come out stronger and wiser in the end.
The Bible Trivia Question I asked last time was “What king trusted the Lord like none before him or none after him?” The answer is “Hezekiah” and is found II Kings 18:5. This next question was put in by Susie Sisco, “Who destroyed the bronze serpent made by Moses and why?” I’ll give that answer next time.
