“He that hath an ear, let him let him hear: what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death, ” Revelations 2:11.
Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read I Corinthians 1:18-25 for the devotion then dismissed us to class.
Pastor David prayed for the prayer requests. Please remember all the sick, bereaved, and hurting people. Remember Pete Turley and family, Betty Satterfield and family, Connie, Ethel Versaw, Bob Lambert, Dana and Ralph Brazeal, Dara and Ernest Strong and family, unspoken, unsaved, Charlie Degraffenreid and each other.
Brother Bobby took up the tithes and offerings. Macee and Dailyn did the penny march for Camp Piland.
The church presented Pastor David and I a beautiful card and love gift for Pastor Appreciation month. We greatly appreciate our church family and are blessed to be at Black Oak Church. We had good testimonies.
Pastor David sang then preached from Revelation 2:8-11 on how God knows us, whether we are persecuteded, poor, or hurting, we are rich if we have Him.
The children studied how God is in control of all the seasons and colored leaves.
Sunday evening Pastor David sang and preached from Mark 4:35-41 on being prayed up so that when the unexpected happens we can have faith to know Jesus is in control and with us.
Both were very good messages. I also appreciate my pastor very much.
May God bless you all.
