St. Francis Church

Sunday, September 16 was the fifteenth Sunday after Trinity. Bishop Hartley based his sermon on the Old Testament reading for the day, Deuteronomy 7:6-12, “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people of his own possession‚Ķ.” In this passage Moses tells the Jews they are God’s chosen people and tells them they are to be the world’s religious leaders and that God will keep his obligation to them but requires obedience in return. God will bless those who keep his covenant.

We contine to have evening prayer on Wednesdays at 6:30 followed by Bible Study. Currently we are on the book of Amos and everyone is invited.

Everyone is also invited to the annual service of the Blessing of the Animals which will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Bring your pets to receive the blessing of St. Francis.

Everyone is welcome at St. Francis Anglican (Traditional Episcopal) Church where Bishop Glen Hartley conducts services Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Our website is stfrancisavamo.org.
