Sunday morning service was opened with the Praise Team and some very upbeat songs.
Brother Roberts brought the message from I Peter 4:10-11, “Stewardship of Talents.”
It was Hat Day for the ladies to Shake Us Up, so several ladies wore a variety of pretty and/or comical hats.
Sunday evening we had some congregational hymns then Sister Maxine Lund brought the final message in the series about Hypocrisy, from Ephesians 2.
The annual Labor Day picnic was held at Ike and LaVerne Ashby’s farm. Music was provided by Ima and Nelson Sellers and the 49ers Country Band (Ima and Nelson Sellers, Ray Star, Glen Kenyon, Joann Lawrence, Bob Sothman) and David, Kathy and Dan Willis and Randy Dugan. Having Sunday dinner with Bob and Nora Edwards were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden and Kendra Walker. Others visiting during the week were Alexis Swearengin, Miranda Milligan and Bob and Carol Rooker.
Those visiting in our home this week were Donna Bannister, Stacie Hamby, Pauline Okhuysen, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage.
