What a glorious Sunday morning. The sun shining, blue sky, puffy white clouds and a cool breeze to top it off. It doesn’t get much better than that.
After our Sunday school lesson we enjoyed singing praises to the Lord and then we heard a presentation of information on social issues facing all of us from Dr. Janet Martin, followed by a strong witness from Bro. Greg Nasif.
Then we were treated to a presentation by Ted Cain from the Ava Camp of Gideons International. The presentation was inspiring to say the least and everyone present was blessed.
Then the morning message was from Luke 7 and Matthew 8, “The Centurion of Capernaum.” You may know the story of the Centurion who sent for Jesus to heal his servant who was near death and how he said, “Don’t come to my house, I’m unworthy that you should come under my roof, but just say the word and my servant will be healed.” To which Jesus said that “He had not seen so great a faith, in Israel.” Among his own people He had not seen this great a faith, yet this Centurion, this heathen man believed, and his servant was healed. We need this type of faith.
Our evening message was, “The Wills of God,” from Ecclesiastes 8:11 and Psalm 33:12, and illustrations from Daniel, chapter 4. God does not accomplish His will, by your clock or mine, but His will “will” be done. God does have control in the affairs of men.
The reserved sign got tired of sitting in your places so we retired it to the library, but don’t worry, we will still save a seat for you. Come and join us in worship to the Lord, a blessing is waiting, in that very seat…just for you.
