Mt. Tabor Church

We had showers of blessings in our area this past week and everyone was very thankful for all of them. We continue to have many on our prayer concern list. We were glad for our visitors in the morning service, come again.

Brother Ric continued on his message he began last week and then we had fellowship and testimonies Sunday evening.

A reminder of Old Folk’s Day this Sunday at 2 p.m.

Those who visited with Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock over the holiday weekend were Marvin and Heather Hathcock, Strafford, and Glenda Hathcock, Marshfield, the children of Trellis and Wanda Hathcock, Jim and Jo Hathcock, Jorie and Jack Lafferty, Jan Jones, Bob Hathcock and Caleb, of Union, and Chestene Lietch.

Mae Cox’s company this week was Tom and Donna Nichols, Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Jimmy Johnson and nephew, and Golda Dixon. Mae spoke with brother, Johnny, in Illinois, who is down in his back at this writing.

Those visiting at various times with Bessie Hall have been Jewell Elliott, Bonita Winingham, J. C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Dan and Kim Clements and Morgan,  Kay Hutchison.

Floyd and Bonita Winingham came from Neb. Sunday to spend a few days with home folks. They visited with Tom and Jewell and her grandma Bessie before going home Wednesday.

Tom and Jewell Elliott had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Shaun Elliott and children, Friday evening. MaKayla and Logan spent Friday night with Tom and Jewell. Shaun picked them up Saturday.

Those visiting in the Elliott home over the holiday were James Elliott, Nina Carter, and Carla Hearod.

Tom and Jewell visited Albert and Doris Elliott Friday.

Jewell Elliott and Bonita Winingham visited Harold and Kay Hutchison Monday. Other visitors with the Hutchisons have been Dan, Kim and Morgan Clements, Dylan Clements and Sarah Claussen, and Martin Hathcock.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Madewell were happy to have a visit from their daughter and family who live in California. Eddie Madewell also visited with the group.

Chestene Lietch enjoyed a visit from her granddaughter, Brenda and Cole Young, of Louisburg, Missouri.
