A 2006 Ford ambulance that has been taken out of service by Cox Health Systems and the Ava Area Ambulance District was donated to the Goodhope Fire Department this week. The Ava Area Ambulance District Board of Directors agreed to give the vehicle to Goodhope which will convert the vehicle into a rescue unit.
