Ours is a spiritual battle, that cannot be seen with the natural eye, or sensed with our natural senses, but the effects of the battle can be seen just like we can see the movement of grass and leaves from a swirling breeze.
Now is the time to walk as sons and daughters of God, and actively engage our enemy who will steal, kill and destroy from you and your loved ones (John 10:10). The body of believers is beginning to understand who we are in Christ, and what authority we have in Christ, understanding it is not about any power we have personally. By ourselves we can do nothing, but the Father and Christ do the work through us, just like Jesus said that he could of himself do nothing, it was the Father doing the works (John 10: 38, 14:10). Consider this for illustration; Had Jesus not repeated words that agreed with the written word of God, and spoken words the Father told him to say, the Father could not have done the work.
In Isaiah 55: 10-11 the LORD said his word would not return to him void, but it would accomplish that which it was sent to do. “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.
Grab a hold of this…because it is already done…God has told us what to say. The word of God fights our battles when we stand on it. God is in you if you are a believer, and God has given us his words to use to enforce his truth. He is just waiting for you to believe him and step out in faith, and begin speaking his words.
Many well intending and loving Christians have slipped from speaking God’s words, into speaking only what they see, hear, and feel with their natural senses. For example, If an absent loved one is discussed around the dinner table and everyone agrees that they don’t have any luck at all and they can’t keep a job, and their marriages always end badly, they can’t carry a tune in a bucket, or hit the broad side of a barn, that their kids always drop out of school and end up in jail… well, that’s enough of that.
Every statement may have been true, but that is the trap we have fallen into.
God’s truth spoken over that person will get us and them out of the trap of living in the curse, and move them over to the blessing side of life that God intends for every believer. For every believer, no matter what the circumstance, speaking God’s word over a person will bless their life! Especially if they are lost. They may be the most rough, tough, stronghold- trapped heathen that we know, but it is God’s will for them to come to him through Jesus and be saved. With God all things are possible.
How the shooter in Colorado could have been changed, had the word of God been spoken over him to break the strongholds that had gotten possession of his mind! God’s truth spoken over a person will change their life into the truth that God intends for them. Speaking God’s truth over your own life, believing that God will make it come to pass, not just because you said it, but because his word will not return to him void, will bless you.
Dear readers, God loves you and has made a way for victory through Jesus Christ and faith in him. He has given us the everyday words to say, the battle is the Lord’s and he has given us victory through his words.
The hardest part is in the beginning when you make the choice, because your natural self is not use to calling things which be not as if they are (Romans 4:17), it feels downright odd. But with time and God’s help, we learn to overcome the habit of speaking what is in the natural world around us, and as with all things, it takes time to get into the new habit of saying words that will serve God to manifest his will, but take heart, it can be done, and you can expect some odd looks from folks who don’t understand, but God knows what you are doing, and God says his word will not return to him void. Halleluiah. Thank you Father, for giving us the words to use. God’s words, spoken with confidence and faith in God’s ability to see those words come to pass will change your life and your loved ones lives for good.
Yes, but how do we know what to say? Good question. It will take time to get God’s word in your head and in your heart, and one of the best resources I have found is by Rev. Charles Capps in Arkansas. He is known as the father of confession and has compiled a small leather bound booklet of God’s words that are spirit filled and powerful. It is called God’s Creative Power gift collection, and sells for 16 dollars. His web address is http://www.charlescapps.com/ and his mailing address is P.O. Box 69, England, Arkansas 72046.
Let’s yield to God, use his words every day, and be a blessing to others.
Until next time, God bless you and your loved ones.
