The Praise Team opened the morning service with some beautiful praise songs. We had prayer requests then prayer and welcoming everyone.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Matthew 11:28-30, “ Stress-Relief.”
Sunday evening Brother Mahlon Schmucker brought the message from Luke 18:10-13.
We are saddened to hear of the deaths of loved ones of the Woolman, Bradshaw and Barnum families.
Nora Edwards and Sandy Walker enjoyed attending church on Sunday morning at High Point Baptist Church in Wheatland, Mo. where Brother Dan Samples is the pastor. They then had lunch in Lebanon before heading home.
Nora Edwards visited Saturday morning with Mary Mackey.
Alexis Swearengin spent the day on Monday and Wednesday with Bob and Nora Edwards while her parents, Shawn and Miranda were at work. Others visiting during the week in the Edwards home were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden and Kendra Walker, Molly Henderson, Shawn Swearengin, Miranda Milligan and friend Anna.
Joe and Wilma Hamby met Jeremy and Darla Scheihing on Tuesday evening at Ft. Leonard Wood for the graduation of Darla’s son and their grandson, Colby Bryan from Alpha Co. 701st Military Police Battalion on Thursday morning. On Wednesday, they met Colby for family day. They took him to lunch then that evening was a banquet for parents, grandparents , family and friends. On Thursday morning was the graduation which was very enjoyable. It was a very special time to be with Colby and see him graduate. Colby will be stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas.
Jeremy and Darla came back to Ava and spent a couple of days with Joe and Wilma.
Those visiting in our home this week were Donna Bannister, Pauline Okhuysen, Bevy Moore, Wilma Hamby, Lena Goss, Helen and Earnie Cook. On Tuesday, Delmar and I went to Nixa and enjoyed lunch with Becky, Maeson and Hailey Carter. On Wednesday we enjoyed a goose dinner with Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams and Pauline Okhuysen. On Monday evening we visited with Vern, Kathleen and Noah Deatherage, and friend, CR., Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams.
