We came together Sunday morning with gladness and singing, followed by prayer requests for our loved ones, the bereaved, the lost, and those still struggling with health problems.
Brother Raymond Haden was our guest speaker, we appreciate having him and Sister Naida in our services. His message included scripture about “strait is the gate and narrow is the way”. They sang good specials for us, also.
Hellen Blakey and Evelyn Bryan attended Friday of senior camp at Piland Youth Camp. Mt. Tabor Church provided food on that day and the ladies helped in the kitchen.
Those visiting Mae this week were Donna and Tom Nichols, Lisa Johnson and Jesse. Mae had phone calls from her family, and Jack Haden also called saying George Haden, of Washington, was doing better, and looking forward to a trip to Missouri.
Bessie Hall’s visitors recently were J.C. and Vicky, Jewell, Lisa and Jesse, Tim, Kim and Kay. Bessie spoke via phone with her sister, Lucy, in Alabama, who celebrated her 96 birthday in July. Bessie was able to attend church Sunday evening with Jewell.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bryan drove to Fort Leonard Wood the middle of the week, to attend graduation exercises from boot camp for their grandson, Colby. Several other friends and relatives attended the ceremony. Sometime later, they came back and made a trip to Silver Dollar City, which was Colby’s wish.
Mary Ann Hathcock continues to recover at home, some days good, some not so good. Her visitors this week were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Haden, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Elliott, Mr. and Mrs. Don Bryan and Kay Hutchison.
Martin and Mary Ann’s 59th anniversary was Thursday, however, the children all arrived on Sunday and took them out to a local restaurant for dinner. All their children were able to be there: Kathy and Ed, Jim and Jo, Jan, Kim and Wes, Ronda and Eleazar and Bob and Terri. Some of the grandchildren joined them later. They received lots of nice cards and good wishes for their special day. Mary Ann is seeing her doctor Wednesday of this week. Ronda came Tuesday evening to help her parents prepare for the doctor visit.
Martin visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, Tuesday evening.
James Elliott visited his parents, Tom and Jewell, Sunday night.
Tom and Jewell visited Albert and Doris Elliott Monday afternoon, and Albert and Doris came out to Tom and Jewell’s, Tuesday evening.
