Knowing the will of God is easy, once it is settled in your spirit and mind.
When lack of knowledge, doubt, unbelief and lies from the world; which are perpetrated by the devil are cleared out of your heart and mind to reveal the plain and simple truth of God’s love for you and the good plan that he has for your life, it is easy to know the will of God for you and your loved ones. His will is for good. First of all he wants you saved. He wants your dead spirit to be reborn through faith in Jesus by his free gift of salvation. It’s free, you just receive Jesus by faith, but must speak your desire with your mouth. (Example, “Thank you Jesus for my free gift of salvation. I believe you are the Son of God and you died in my place. Come into my heart and be my Lord.”)
Being saved is the first step, when your spirit is reborn and sealed by the wonderful Holy Spirit Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, but that is just the starting point in your walk with the Savior, because your spirit might be reborn, but the rest of you (your mind and body) remains the same, and chances are the world system we live in has filled your mind with wrong thinking and wrong feeling which leads to wrong acting and wrong doing, which hinders the wonderful blessing that God has for your life; and it may even shorten your stay on earth, but good news; God thought of that and made a plan by providing a written document you could study to renew your mind to the way to think, feel, and act to receive all of God’s blessings, saying through the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Jesus loves and cares for you, God the Father loves and cares for you, which during this time in the world’s history and our individual histories, it is crucially important for us to hold tightly to the truth that God loves us and to especially stand firm on the truth of his word. Why stand firm on the truth of God’s word? Because there is a thief out there.
The time is drawing nearer for the return of Jesus, and while the ministry of the Holy Spirit works through those who are spreading the gospel to get the last people saved while time remains, the adversary pushes back to try and steal what has been won. You may remember the Lord Jesus said in John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Thank you Lord Jesus, for the abundant life you give us!
How can I give praise with all of the killings and horrible things that are going on around the world? I give praise and say it because Jesus said it, and Jesus tells the truth. When Jesus spoke those words, he said them from a platform of victory. He had not gone to the cross yet, but he had faith in God. Jesus only spoke what he learned from the Father.
John 8:28, Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
When we listen to and talk words about murder, mayhem, drought, famine, inflation, poverty, ruin, hopelessness, lack, illness, pain, disease, decay, corruption, who does that sound like? The thief? Let’s not help the thief do his work, he has destroyed enough already. It’s time for us to say “enough” to the defeated devil, and speak words that agree with Almighty God so we can walk in abundant life instead of fear and defeat.
Victory in Jesus. Shout victory. As the psalmist said in Psalms 91: 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. The one that is still standing in this psalm is the one that believed God, despite what was going on around them. Faith is our victory, faith in Jesus, faith in our Father God, faith in God’s word. Are you ready to learn to stand on the word of God and take the victory that Jesus has bought and paid for?
When we stand on God’s word, we are upholding the victory Jesus already won. When we don’t stand on God’s word, we are left vulnerable to the thief, and God’s desire for you is good, not evil, but he is bound by the words we use. Some folks have been told the expression, “God is in control” as a form of comfort, intending to mean well, but it is not biblical, and it only confuses people when they hear of horrible things happening.
When horrible things happen, the thief is in control, and that brings little comfort.
It was not God’s will to destroy the folks in Colorado, it was not God’s will that that man shot the people. God was not in control of that – the thief was. The thief stole the lives of those people prematurely, the thief killed them using that man with the gun, and the thief will work to destroy the lives of the families involved through grief and fear and anger. It was not God. Father God and Jesus will help restore what the thief destroyed, with the power of the Holy Spirit, but they did not instigate it. It was not God’s will. You and I, all of us, are snared by the words of our mouth according to Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.Which leads us into this teaching. Good News….God has provided a way for us. Praise the Lord. This is going to be revolutionary to those who are able to grab hold of the power of God’s word.
How do we walk in Christ’s victory and overcome the thief? We will get in God’s word and learn together.
Until next time, God bless you and your loved ones.
