What a wonderful blessing was poured out on the community in the good rain we received the past few days. It has certainly helped the pastures, ponds, creeks and gardens, and hopefully, the Lord will send more our way, soon.
Brother Ric preached a two part sermon Sunday, using several scripture for his subject of intercessory prayer. We certainly do have many to pray for.
Senior camp will start July 25-28, at Camp Piland.
We were sorry to hear of the passing of Mary A. Cox, former neighbor, and resident of Mt. Tabor community. A large crowd attended her graveside service, Monday.
Mary Ann Hathcock has been moved to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, following tests and treatment last week at Cox South. Hopefully, therapy will help her gain strength and her ability to walk again. Martin has been staying with his family and going daily to see Mary Ann. The Bryans visited them one day, as did Bro. Ric.
Bessie Hall accompanied Jewell Elliott to the Tate-Tetrick reunion, Saturday, in Ava. On Sunday afternoon, they were in Ozark for the visitation of the Cox family. Bessie’s other visitors have been J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Kay Hutchison, Kim Clements and Imogene Madewell.
Mae Cox also accompanied Donna Nichols to Ozark for the Cox family visitation.
Kay Hutchison visited Clifford and Imogene Madewell, Monday evening.
MaKayla and Logan Elliott spent part of Monday and Tuesday with their grandparents and Jewell took them for their swim lessons.
Tom and Jewell Elliott visited Albert and Doris Elliott one evening last week.
Nina Carter just recently returned from a trip to Florida,where she welcomed the newest member of their family and had an extended visit with them.
Jeff and Kristy Tackett, Steven Tackett and friend, Aaron, stopped by, Saturday, on their way home, after spending a week at Oakland Campground. They all had lunch, then the boys went on to their homes in the Joplin area. Jeff and Kristy left for home, Sunday morning.
Morgan Clements spent Sunday night with Harold and Kay Hutchison. Dan, Kim, Dylan and Sarah, all visited Monday morning.
Harold, Kay Hutchison visited Monday in the home of John and Jo Stephens. Also present was Juanita Kazenski and son, Lyle Bushong of Illinois.
