Wednesday, July 10 – Chad Emerson delivered the message for the evening. Psalm 33:20 tells us, our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and shield.
Isaiah 40:31 tells us when we wait upon the Lord our strength shall be renewed. We shall mount up with wings as eagles, we’ll run and not be weary, we shall walk, and not faint.
Psalm 27:14, wait on the Lord and he shall strengthen the heart: wait, I say, wait on the Lord.
Psalm 37:7, Rest in the Lord and wait patiently, Fret not thy self.
Psalm 46:10, Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 40:1-2, I waited patiently and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up and set my feet upon a rock and gave me a new song.
Take your Bible and reread all the scritpures listed here. What a sermon, take it to heart. – A. wait on the Lord, B. new strength we will receive C. run and not be weary D. He will give us strength not to faint. E. wait on the Lord, that is so hard to do, we want what we want, when we want it, and we put our time frame on it. F. rest in the Lord G. wait patiently – sure, we all do that! H. fret not I. be still.
If only we would take this all to heart.
Sunday morning we thanked God for the rain. There were also many prayer requests for Miss Peg, Marvin G., Ryan Moore, Jean Porter, Cory Rush, Bevy’s Grandma, John and Richard and Bob and Pat.
Gary’s morning sermon was entitled, The Sarah Syndrome.
In Genesis 18:10 – it tells us about Sarah and Abraham. God had promised Abraham a son, but him and Sarah were old, they both laughed at the statement made. They both took matters into their own hands (sound familiar?) so you know about Hagar and Ishmael. Again, not waiting on the Lord and to this day, the Ishamael’s and Issac’s are at war. When Jesus returns for His people, then there will be peace.
Sunday night was our Third Sunday Night Singing. We had a lot of good music and God’s spirit was in the service.
Come visit when ever you can – would love to have you. We are at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave. and N.W. 7th St.
