We came today to worship our Lord and to hear the Word of God and Pastor Buddy did a great job bringing the Word to us from Acts 3:19 and Matthew 14:22-31 on don’t let this moment pass. We all have moments in our lives because God loves us, He knows what is coming up in our lives, and He has something for you to do in that moment. We have moments that will affect the destiny of the church and the eternal destiny of people. We must take time to be alone with God like Jesus did and have passionate prayer, prayer is the center of eveything. When the disciples were in the boat Jesus was alone praying and having some time alone with His Father. The storm was raging on the sea and His disciples were obeying what Jesus had told them to do. Storms sometimes hit us when we are obeying God and praying. We may lose sight of Jesus, but He never loses sight of us. What we see as disasters Jesus sees as a pathway to a deeper relationship with Him. Don’t let Jesus pass you by calling out to Him during the storm and don’t let the moment pass you by. Peter got out of the boat and experienced something new in his life. We believe it’s time to get out of the boat and see new things done for God. The question is – are we going to get out of boat and experience new things or are we just going to sit in the boat? What moments or opportunities have you let pass you by to serve the Lord. What will stop the church or you from doing great things, is it that we let the moment pass us by? Pastor Buddy brought out something in the message I had never thought about before on why Peter may have lost his focus on Jesus and began to sink, which was did Peter look back to the boat to see what everyone else was doing? We don’t need to worry about what everyone else is doing in the church but we need to seize the moment for ourselves. Would you rather be in over your head and need to be rescued or die a slow death sitting in the boat? Pastor Buddy did a great job as usual and we are expecting great things to happen at this church and in this community.
