T.O.P.S.

Tuesday, June 12th T.O.P.S.  #0720 met and was called to order by Sharon with fifteen weighing in with a total loss of 9.5 lbs. Top loser was Sharon. Kathleen received a prize from the Choose to be Healthy contest. Linda was the winner of Activity Bingo. We will continue to meet after meeting to help everyone to complete scavenger hunts on wi-fi internet.

Rachel had the lesson, “The D Tour Basics.” The examples are to help shed pounds and help balance your blood sugar. Small goals are better.

The four tips to better health from an article, were:

  1. East frequent smaller meals
  2. Practice portion control.
  3. Select whole grain breads and pasta.
  4. Include food with more fiber.

Other advise from Prevention on the fat fighting four especially at breakfast. The best breakfasts include oatmeal or whole grain bread, fat free or low fat dairy, Swiss cheese, eggs, walnuts, apples, pears, and or citrus.

The meeting ended with T.O.P.S. Pledge being recited by members. T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit, international weight loss support group open to anyone seven years of age or older. The MO #0720 chapter meets every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the basement of the courthouse.
