We began with prayer requests and as always there were many needs. Among those were Harold, Ron, Eugene, Mary, Brian, Doris, a newborn, revival, our nation, leaders and military. Peggy Miller prayed.
Happy anniversary was sung to Debbie Pitts and happy birthday was sung to Adalynn Siler and Mary Lou Hodges. Adalynn was two years old and handed out pictures as we came in. She is the daughter of Brad and Patty Siler, granddaughter of John and Connie Siler, and great-granddaughter of Bob Siler. We are blessed to have the Siler family as a part of our church family.
Clay McFarlin prayed the offertory prayer as he and Aaron Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.
Pastor Neal asked for praise and testimonies and these were shared about our Great God.
Danny Johnson led us in songs.
Pastor Neal began by saying, “If God is not in his proper place in our life, all else shifts out of place”. Oh, how we need to see ourselves as we are—so needy.
At 6 p.m., we came together again. Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing then praises and testimonies were given. Ron Cummins is home from the hospital and Aaron Dalton is doing better after hurting his hand.
Ashton Crum is going to North Carolina this week on a school trip.
Connie Johnson, Rhonda Dobbs, LeaAnn Crum and Colton Harris did the special music. They all did a great job.
LeaAnn Crum gave a progress report from Options Pregnancy Clinic in Ava. It soon will be over seven years since the ministry began. It is good to know God has truly blessed.
Pastor Neal read from Luke 18, Jesus and the children. Jesus said, “Let them come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven”. Just as children are so dependent upon Mom and Dad, we need to realize our dependence upon our Heavenly Father. He also read Revelations 3, let us hold fast and not let go.
This week camp at White River Campgrounds is the 3rd and 4th graders with Josh and Emily Johannas as directors. This will conclude our camps for the year. Many from our church have helped out in some way.
Tuesdays at 7 p.m. is special prayer meeting and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. is Bible study.
Next Sunday night New Mansion Church is having a special 4th of July service and New Vision is also having a services. Pastor Neal will be preaching there and LeaAnn Crum and Martin Hodges will be doing music so our service will be dismissed to attend.
