Sandy Church

As we came together after Sunday school class, Brad Siler, Sunday School Superintendent, said happy father’s day to all the dads.  Each dad was given a flashlight and Kim Humbyrd prayed for them.  Thank God for good Christian Dads.

Our devotional reading was from Nehemiah 1.  Prayer requests were given for Mary Cox, Doris Elliott, Eugene Eubanks, our church, nation, leaders, military and camp this week.  Sonya Hodges prayed this prayer.

Stan and Doyle Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeaAnn Crum at the piano.

It is Intermediate Camp this week at White River Campgrounds for 5th & 6th graders.  Corby and Lisa Lux are the directors.  Corby is also the evangelist.  We have no one as campers this week.  Ashton Crum is helping.  Last week, I missed two people, for this I am sorry.  Nathan Luttrell was a helper and Avery Hendrix was a camper.

Testimonies were shared about Fathers and Camp this week.  Stan Humbyrd led us in a song.

Pastor Neal shared about camp and thanked the church for their help and most of all for their prayers.  He read Luke 18:1, “Men ought always to pray and not to faint”.  Every kid needs a godly father example in their life.  He said to the dads, “keep it up”.

We had special prayer for Paul Duckworth.

Van Menzies was preaching at New Vision Church.

Brad and Patty Siler were in Children’s Church.

At 6 pm, we began with prayer by Pastor Neal followed by congregational singing and testimonies.  LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang a special and LeaAnn shared about her day and how God used her.

Pastor Neal read from Luke 18 and Deuteronomy 20, the Lord said, “When you go against your enemies, be not afraid, fear not, let not your heart faint, and do not tremble, neither be you terrified because of them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you”.  Just keep praying.

Each Tuesday is special prayer meeting at 7 p.m.  Come, we need you.  Each Wednesday in June is Bible study on prayer.

We will be having Bible School the second week in July.  Plans are being made with Kim Humbyrd as the Director.
