Another glorious Lord’s Day, we keep hoping and praying for His blessing us with some more rain, but we’ll be thankful for the beautiful days He sends us, while we wait.
Our Sunday school lesson, about treating others with the justice they deserve, was a perfect match for the morning message entitiled, “Whether They Hear or Not,” taken from the passage in Ezekiel, chapter 2 which says, “Thou shalt speak My words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse to hear.” We are called to deliver the message of the gospel, we are not responsible for how it is received. Further, the theme of the entire Bible is, from Genesis through Revelation, “Behold, He cometh, with clouds, and every eye shall see him,” we are called to be ready when He comes.
The evening message was taken from the text of Isaiah 9:10, entitled, “A Failure to Return,” in response to , “An Ancient Mystery that Holds the Secret of America’s Future.” All we have to do to change a somewhat bleak future, is turn once again to the One who holds the future in His hands.
I noticed your seat was still not taken this weekend, we are still holding it for you, (I must say, it’s not getting as much wear as the rest of the pews, so it won’t be hard to find when you come).
