Another beautiful Lord’s Day in the Ozarks, with even a hint of rain. We had a good time in Sunday School, studying about the Justice of God and then in our worship service we were blessed by our guest speaker, Bro. Keith Hellyer, who came down from Salem, MO. to bring us a message about our responsibility as church members to “Go”, and deliver the gospel of Christ to the nations.
With all those in our congregation who are traveling, vacationing or visiting family and friends, if your weren’t with us this past Sunday, your seat was certainly not the only empty one in the building. Maybe when you come you could help us fill some of the other empty seats by bringing a friend or family member along. Don’t worry about overcrowding, we’ve got plenty of room. I will try to keep you updated if conditions change (for the better.)
Our evening message was, “The Precious Old Book.” In case you don’t know that would be “the Bible,” God’s love letter to mankind, which conveys to us God’s holy word. Our text was from John 5:24, where Jesus speaks about how “hearing his word” is the means for us to “pass from death unto life.”
Come and be with us next Sunday, don’t worry, finding a seat won’t be a problem, you will be doing me a personal favor by keeping the air circulation from fading the fabric on the pew.
