Bradleyville School Holds Reunion

More than a hundred students, teachers and friends gathered at the Bradleyville School for their all-school reunion.  Much appreciation to Tommy Roberts, President, and the committee Shirley (Hall) Hodges, Cletis (Case) Shortt, Judy (Roberts) Clemans, and Janice (Floyd) Walker for making it a huge success.

Appreciation was given to Clint Gailey and his FFA chapter for the good food.

A Wall of Fame Award was presented to Jerry Redfearn for being a friend to the school in obtaining shoes, basic necessities and scholarships for the students.  Bob Case received the school alumni Wall of Fame Award for service and leadership and his position of being president of the school board since 1989.

Classmates came from as far away as Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Washington, Illinois and Kissee Mills.

Many pictures were taken and friendships were renewed.  The oldest graduate was Junior Lawrence from the class of 1947 and the latest graduate was Bradley Combs from the class of 2003.

A moment of silence was given as we remembered those that have died since our last meeting.

We’ll do it again the second Saturday night in June 2014, when Eddie Hunsaker, class of 1964, will be presiding.
