Sandy Church

We began with special prayer at 9:30 a.m. on Mother’s Day.  We read Psalm 28 as our devotion led by Sunday School Superintendent, Brad Siler.

Several prayer requests were given.  We are always a very needy people.

Happy birthday was sung to Pastor Neal.  I am not sure how many.  May God bless you for all you give as our Shepherd.

Aaron Humbyrd prayed the offertory prayer as he and Daniel Wilson received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeaAnn Crum at the piano.

Testimonies were given by several people sharing about our good Lord and their mothers.  LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang.  Pastor Neal read a poem for Mothers and read from Matthew 20 about the mother of James and John.  She came worshipping and desiring a thing from Jesus.  He said, “What do you want?” She said, grant me that my sons may sit with you in your kingdom.  Let us mothers go, worshipping and asking His kingdom for our children.  Let us take them to Jesus and stand with them.

Every Mother received a red rose, every Grandmother received a yellow rose and every Great-Grandmother received a pink rose.  Peggy Miller and I got all three for we share grandkids and great-grandkids.  It is so good to be blessed with your children’s children’s children.

At 6 pm, Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing. Testimonies were given and prayer requests were shared.

LeaAnn and Erin sang.

Pastor Neal read from Luke 17, Jesus teaching on forgiveness and faith.  The apostles said, Lord increase our faith.  They realized, as we should, how much we need forgiveness in our lives.  If we do not forgive, we cannot be forgiven.

On Saturday, several from church attended Ashton Crum’s graduation party.  She graduated at 7 pm and left for Panama City, Florida this week.

Sunday, May 20, at 4 pm, the men will cook for the mothers and others.

Come and worship with us.  You are welcome.
