Gentry Church started our Friends Day with a large crowd of people and many visitors. After prayer and congregational singing. Bob Hammons and Wildwood did a wonderful job blessing us with songs.
Pastor Hall spoke a few words on how the gospel is very simple, but people have trouble believing in the truth of God’s word. Jesus is truth. Afterward everyone went down stairs for fellowship dinner. It was a great day in the Lord and we appreciate the teachers, workers and all who came out and helped us to make this a great success.
It was good to see Sheila Miller back in church after having a bad ankle sprain.
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Harley Allen.
In our evening service we enjoyed many testimonies and our special song was by a group consisting of Narvil Tetrick, Brenda Hampel, Janice Young, Faye Allen and Charlotte Reich. We sang a song tonight that said Jesus Doesn’t Mean Much To The World, But He Means The World To Me. There is a lot of meaning to that song.
We had so many prayer requests and please remember the Cathy Cornett family in your prayers this week as Cathy is going to have serious surgery Wednesday at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. We pray and believe Jesus can take this situation and turn it around. Also remember Bob Hammons and Bob Huskey.
Next Sunday night, May 27, we are having a guest speaker, Greg Moseley, so everyone is invited to come and join us. Service starts at 6 p.m.
