Easter is this Sunday, April 8th. Sweden Church has a sunrise service at 7 a.m. and breakfast at 8 a.m. After breakfast, some stay for Sunday school and church and others must leave. In any event, everyone is welcome to come and thank the good Lord that He has seen fit to bestow His grace on us.
Is Jesus the Christ? Readers of the Bible would give a resounding ‘yes’ to the question. But what about people who don’t read the Bible or, for that matter, even have one? Yes, Virginia, there are people in this world who don’t have a Bible. Is it possible for them to believe that there is a savior?
Since Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected on the third day; theories have circulated about that event. One thing, though, there is proof positive that a man named Jesus was here and all agree on this point. Further reading from the historian, Josephus, says that Jesus was a doer of wonderful works. The important point is when Josephus says that men received the truth with pleasure. It says in John 14:6, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
Truth is the key. Truth comes from God and it says in I Corinthians 4:4 “…Christ, who is the image of God…” It says in Colossians 1:14-15 that the One who shed his blood is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 2:8-9 states that in Christ dwells the Godhead bodily.
Those who pursue the truth and pursue it vigorously will find it. Jesus did exist on this earth. Jesus did perform many, many miracles. These are two irrefutable facts from other sources than the Bible. To learn more about Jesus Christ, one needs a Bible. It’s all there.
Sweden Church gladly gives away copies of the sermons on CD. Call (4l7)543-6219 to get a copy. Live like Jesus came yesterday, died today, and is coming back tomorrow.
