April 4 – Caney Church came together Wednesday singing. Bro. Jim was our leader tonight. He took prayer requests and Bro. Jeff led us in prayer. Sister Ethel sang. We sure enjoyed this song. Bro. Jim taught from the 11th chapter of Matthew. He read from verse 22-29. Everyone read their own individual scriptures that they felt the Lord had given them. We had good discussion and very good fellowship. Sister Janice taught our young people. It is so important to teach the word to them while they are young. We were dismissed in prayer by Sister Lila.
Easter Sunday morning began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone taking prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Bobby Combs led in prayer.
After Sunday school Happy Birthday was sung to LeAnn Kinyon. God bless her Sis. Tracy led the little ones in song. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Janice Lafferty, Melba Austin and Elsie Combs.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Singing today were our youth, Melissa Harmon, Jimmy Lafferty and Tabitha Kinyon. Pastor Bill Austin brought the Easter message from Luke 24:5. I believe in an empty tomb. I believe that they spit on Him, plucked His beard, placed a crown of thorns on His head. I believe all the horrible things they did to Him. I wasn’t there, but I believe He lives and He loves me. I believe He did it all for me so I can go to Heaven, if I repent and ask Him into my heart.
It was a wonderful message the whole world shoud hear. We had a large crowd out for services. I pray they all know Christ and will start going to church every Sunday if they don’t go. The egg hunt was after service.
Sunday evening services began with singing. Pastor Bill Austin took charge of the service taking prayer requests. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Melba Austin and Lila Roberts. Melba Austin did a special. Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker Sunday eveing. He brought his message from Psalms 1 and Mal. 3:14-18. If man’s law says it’s alright, but God’s word says it’s wrong, it’s wrong. Man can’t change it. God’s word says, “the unrighteous will perish.” We need to discern between the righteous and wicked. The choice is ours what we do. Our crowd was much smaller for the evening service. In Jesus words, will you also go away? Jesus was very sorrowful then and now.
