Wednesday, April 18—Pork chop, dressing, cauliflower with cheese sauce, apple crisp. Thursday, April 19—Cook’s Choice. Friday, April 20—Meatloaf, green beans, baked potato, fruit.

Ted Turner, founder of CNN, has 55,000 head of bison on 15 ranches in seven states. He says bison are good for the environment, providing essential nutrients to the soil as they roam and graze. Mr. Turner says buffalo meat is better than beef because it has less fat and cholesterol. The best way to cook it is low and slow—do not overcook it. Will we be seeing that on the menu more in this area?
Doctors have long suspected that laughter is good for your health. New research shows that the muscular exertion required to let out a good guffaw releases endorphins that boost mood and reduce pain. Laughing lowers blood pressure and improves the immune system. Want to get healthy–forget about the chicken soup and think more about why the chicken crossed the road!
