If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and have put your faith in him, you can be encouraged despite any circumstances you may be facing. When you look into the word of God and see what the truth is in Christ, and who you are in Christ, you will be encouraged. Perhaps you may have forgotten, or, something that is too easy to do is that we take our focus off of who Jesus is and the promises of God, and turn our focus toward our circumstances, the facts swirling in our lives, rather than staying focused on the solid rock of truth in our lives. This is especially true for the young believer who is beginning to renew their thoughts to line up with God’s thoughts by studying God’s word. The Bible calls this “renewing your mind” (Romans 12:2).
There are all kinds of facts swirling around us daily, but a fact is not necessarily a truth of God. The truth of God can only be found in Christ and by knowing what God says in the Bible. With practice, the Believer who walks in relationship with God will be able to discern the facts of the world from the truth of God in Christ Jesus.
Jesus said in John 14:6 that he was the way, the truth, and the life: that no one comes unto the Father unless they go through him. Since Jesus is the way, and Jesus is the truth and the life, lets take a look at what God says about being in Christ.
In I Corinthians chapter 1, the apostle Paul said, “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, Who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption”. In Christ you have wisdom from God. Paul goes on to write in 2 Corinthians chapter 2, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place”. God will always lead you in triumph in Christ. The apostle continues in Romans chapter eight, saying “I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present not things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. God loves you! I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal more of Jesus to each reader as you meditate and think about these scriptures. As a Believer in Christ, Jesus is with you now in your heart and promises to never leave you.
Until next time, God bless you and your loved ones.
