All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. It’s in Romans 3:23. There’s likely no one who compares themselves to God or His glory. The undeniable truth is that He’s been around forever—us?—in this present state, this body is going to die. Now, back in Genesis 1:27, God created man in his likeness. Eating the fruit was the kiss of death, not just for them (Adam and Eve) but for everyone.
What was the sin that put man (mankind) in this fix? One word, unbelief, has led to the unleashing of evil in all its forms. Sin has been the bane of man’s existence since Adam. But God had a plan. John 1:29 says that the Lamb of God is here to take away the sin of the world. The first 4 verses of I Corinthians is the gospel. Verse 3 says that Christ died for man’s sins. Sins are already forgiven, all of them. All anyone has to do is believe it.
The price was paid long ago. If man believes it is so and believes the gospel in those short 4 verses, he is saved. The event of being saved is in Romans 10:9. It says to confess with thy mouth and believe with thy heart. Ephesians 2:5-7 says that the saved will sit with Christ in heavenly places. But, until that time, the saved have a mission. It is to bring the gospel to all who will hear it. I Corinthians 15:58 says it all. Be steadfast, unmoveable, and abounding in the work of the Lord.
