Ozark County Friendly Neighbor's Club

Present for the March 1st meeting were President, Karen N. Davis; Lily Branco, Amy Galyardt, Maxine Smith, Alice Hurley, Lynn Bentele, Edith McKinnon and Linnie Ingram. They met in the basement of the Health Center, at 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, Roll Call was answered with suggestions for programs and hostesses for each month. We didn’t have a January meeting because of bad weather. Karen was February’s hostess. Linnie was March hostess.

Since we decided to move our meetings to the first Thursday of each month, April 5 will be our meeting date and Amy will be hostess. May 3rd Alice will be hostess. In April we will have our plant and auction sale among members. June 5th will be family night.

Our program was to be on past history of the club and plans for the future, but the meeting was cut short because of a member, Maxine Smith, who had an accident, and was transported to Mountain Home, where they kept her in the hospital over night.

We soon will be making ribbons for the quilt show in September.

Door prize was won by Maxine.

Meeting was then adjourned.
