This is a six-week class that is helpful for people with Arthritis, Asthma, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Chronic Respiratory Diseases, Depression, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, Lupus and other chronic conditions.
Topics include: pain management, stress management, exercise, sleep disorders, relaxation and communication skills. The program teaches self-management skills to manage common problems related to having ongoing health conditions.
Classes will be held weekly on Tuesdays beginning March 20 and concluding on April 24, at the MOCH Wellness Center beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Qualified participants will receive a free cholesterol screening. There is no charge for the workshop, but registration is required. To register, call the Douglas County Health Department at (417) 683-4174.
