George N. Kennedy Sr., 77

George N. Kennedy, 77 years, passed away on Feb. 23, 2012 at Jordan Creek Nursing Home, Springfield, Mo.

George was born July 13, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Jennie (Aho) Kennedy.

He was a retired pipefitter and welder. George was a resident of Ava, Mo., moving from Big Bear City, Calif. George loved fishing and traveling. He had attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Ava.

George was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Victoria.

George is survived by his wife, Norma of Ava, Mo.; nine children, George Kennedy Jr., California, Kenneth Leroy Kennedy, California, Sherry Lynn Kennedy, Lancaster, Calif., Sandra Ruth Kennedy, Sugar Loaf, Calif., Debra Lee Brown, Waskom, Texas, Rebecca Kennedy, Compton, Calif., Michael Kennedy, California, Jeffrey Kennedy, Fullerton, Calif., and Victoria Kennedy, Panama Beach, Fla.; four stepchildren; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. George was one of 13 brothers and sisters.

Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo.
