Bob and I have gone all winter without getting any of the nasty bugs that have been going around, but they finally caught us. We both had fever, chills, coughing, and Bob had a bad headache and backache. Needless to say, we didn’t enjoy any of the beautiful weather over the weekend. Bob got up Monday morning and went to the doctor, which showed me just how bad he felt, because he will never go to the doctor. I took his normal role and refused to go, I didn’t feel like I had it as severe as Bob does and I didn’t think the doctor would give me any medicine so I stayed home.
Congratulations to Mark and Elizabeth Brumfield on the birth of their son, Liam Isaac Brumfield, on February 24. Liam was born at Skaggs and weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 inches long. He is a beautiful baby boy. Congratulations to the grandparents too, and the whole family.
Congratulations to a very special couple, Tanner Lux and Amelia Mann, on their recent engagement.
My dad, J.W. Sloan will turn 94 years old on March 1. I always thought my dad could do anything, and I still think that. If I ever need advice on how to fix anything, from vehicles to well pumps, how to grow something or how to build a cabinet, he can tell me how to get it done.
