At last week’s meeting, we were happy to see David Williams and one of this month’s “citizens.” I understand one was sick and will be attending with next month’s citizens. Connie also made a chocolate cake to celebrate Glenda’s birthday this week.
Donna, Connie and Glenda attended the Chamber Awards Dinner on March 24 at 6 p.m. at Ava Victory Academy Activity Room. There weren’t as many people there this year as in the past, but everyone I spoke with had a good time.
At this week’s meeting, we will be finalizing plans for our part in the city Easter event to be held on March 31 at 4 p.m. in the park. Mostly, we will be focusing on The Eliminate Project with a presentation on that. This project is a partnership with UNICEF and Kiwanis International to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus from third world countries. A series of three shots will protect mothers and their unborn babies for life. If you or your club or organization might be interested in learning more, please attend our March 29 meeting at noon at Sonshine Cafe.
If you have an interesting program to present, contact Donna Dixon to schedule a date at 683-1918. For all other questions about our club, call Glenda Little at 683-6167.
