Wednesday night Bro. Lyndon led us in our Bible study over Exodus 14, Crossing The Red Sea. Exodus 14:13, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today;for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you and ye shall hold your peace.”
Sunday morning we made our prayer requests known before God. We had five children attend Sunday school. The children read and learned about Jesus’ disciple, Matthew. We had ten adults in Sunday school and read John 16:16-17:26. Our morning message was “Joy In Jesus”brought forth by Bro. Norman. Several scriptures were brought out. Bro. Norman started out by reading Phil. 4:4. When something deep down in our life begins to change, we have hope and rejoice in that hope in the glory of God. Our joy can not be robbed by Satan or others unless we allow it. We are private property, children of the King of Kings. Jesus came to break the bonds in our hearts and minds and to set us free. We don’t need pills, drinks, lovers, food, all we need is Jesus. He will deliver us! If we haven’t been delivered from the bonds of the world, can we tell others? If we don’t have joy can we fill others up? We can’t make excuses for our sins and try to make right of ourselves. There is only one way to make ourselves right. We sow in tears in prayer in love, we shall reap joy. Be exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. We had a wonderful service. We had twenty attend morning services. We gathered back at New Hope for our evening service. We started out with prayer requests and then sang songs. We had specials by Bro. Cub, myself and Lyndon, Sis. Lena, Bro. Bernie and Mallory. Bro. Joe Lafferty brought forth our evening message from Matthew 25:1-13, “The parable of the ten virgins.” Human beings are a part of God saved or lost. Man can destroy himself and his soul separated from the presence of God, but they that are wise have sought or seek forgiveness. Don’t transgress against God or you will be blotted out of the Lamb’s book of life and sent to torment and death with Lucifer and his fallen angels. Give the Lord your heart, mind and soul. Be wise and serve him with all your being. Seek salvation before it is too late.
We would love to have you join us for service here at New Hope.
“As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing and yet possessing all things.”
