Hoopcoming 2012 Will Be Friday at Ava High School

Ava High School’s 2012 Hoopcoming will be held this Friday night, Feb. 3.
In preparation for the big night, king and queen candidates have been named and the theme for the week has been set.
This year’s Hoopcoming theme will be “Monopoly”, and each day has a different emphasis keeping with the theme.
Hoopcoming queen candidates are Morgan Emerich, Lacey Tucker and Carmen Potts. King candidates are Zach Leonard, Kevin Philpott and Alvin Stone.
Students have been participating in Spirit days this week beginning with “Cops vs. Cons” on Monday and “Rags to Riches” on Tuesday. Wednesday’s emphasis was “Monopoly Day” and today (Thursday) will be “Tourist Day.” Friday, game day, will be the traditional “Blue & Gold Day.”
Hoopcoming coronation will be held between the junior varsity and varsity games with the Mtn. View-Liberty Eagles.
Immediately following the game (starting around 8:30) there will be a Hoopcoming dance until 11:30 p.m.
