Hello from our home to your home, we sure have enjoyed the nice weather.
Monday morning Bro. Tom Hawkins had a wonderful Bible Study with several attending. In the afternoon Jayma Potter from Three Rivers Hospice called games for the residents, followed by Reading Time with Joyce Clinkingbeard. Tuesday morning Ms. Edna Hannaford was here helping out. The Cooking Club and Ms. Edna made Blond Brownies and they sure were good. Maxine is starting a new puzzle of Cats of all breeds. Maxine Lirley, Willene Adams, Angie Adams and Edna Hannaford played several rounds of pitch, we had a real good game with Angie and Maxine winning.
Joe, our maintenance man was laying new flooring in our east wing. Joe is good and fast so we will have our lobby area back in no time.
It rained all night and still is this morning, but it was warm enough not to freeze. It cancels out our van this morning. We really enjoy the van rides and see more of the country than ever before. That, along with our treat from Sonic makes it special indeed! Connie is an educational tour guide as she knows so many people and places along the way as we pass. Sometimes we pass our own homes. It moves our hearts to yearn again, after all, there is no place like home! But, if you stay long enough, this place begins to feel like “Home”. And we do have a bunch of brothers and sisters and much kindness and Christian love.
Daryl has been taking care of the angel outside during these windy days. We missed Darlene Sorenson Wednesday, but Connie called games for us. Thursday morning Ms. Ruth Evans was here visiting with residents. In the afternoon Reba and Ryder Scobba called games and had a turnout of 20 residents. Another group of residents headed out on a van to see the lake with Connie and Mike Burris. Mike is very informative about the lake area. Daryl Knapp, Mike Graham, Bill Herrington and Lena Carline made the trip. They also enjoyed Sonic treats. We appreciate Sonic! They went to Gainesville and came home down JJ highway.
Doug Miller lawn crew was here cleaning up the flower bed, residents are itching to start planting their garden. Friday morning fingernails were done in the activity room followed by the 1st Sonshine Group. We alway enjoy listening to this group. In the afternoon Carrie McIntosh was here to call games. Anna Worthy won a Harley Davidson motorcycle (model) .
Saturday morning music was done by Norma Stilling followed by Tom Hawkins finishing up Revelations. In the afternoon we had a pleasant game of Pokenno followed by playing the game Up Words.
Sunday we always enjoy Sunday School in the morning with Larry Moore. Church music and Bible messages in the afternoon with Ava United Methodist Church with Pastor Marty Blakey. God is Good!
We would like to welcome Paula Bently and Joe Garner to our home. God Bless You From Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, MO.
