Church of the Living God

Wednesday night Bible study, December 28th

The last prayer meeting of 2011; time sure flies by.  I pray God will bless the Bible study in the coming year and may we all learn more about God’s holy word.

Steve Wilkerson is the teacher and the service is at 7:00 PM.  The book we are studying in is Isaiah.

January 1, 2012. A new year has started.  I pray all people will rely on the Lord and draw closer to Him.

A lot of prayer requests were made known.  Aren’t we glad that God knows who stand in need?  Sometimes we forget a name but God remembers all our needs.

The pastor’s message mentioned resolutions, I think they are made to be broken; some mentioned going to quit smoking, start going to the gym, join TOPS or Weight Watchers.  Maybe we are faithful for a couple of weeks but then “come morning” when it’s time to get up and start moving, we say “maybe later”.

Do we do that in our church life, I’ll go next Sunday, maybe even Wednesday night Bible study, Wednesday rolls around and “no way am I going out”, its cold and the wind is blowing too hard.

Take a stand one way or another, in your every day life and your spiritual one in the New Year, seek his face more, read Joshua 24: 14-15; choose this day whom you will serve, (faithfully) who will you serve?

Evening service

Does your Christian walk stand alone; do your actions to the people around you, leave no doubt whom you serve?

Psalms 24:3 says “Who shall stand in his holy place? Verse 4, tells us; He that hath clean hands and a pure heart.

Being a true Christian is a serious commitment, how do you measure up?

Come visit us some time, we would like to be your home church if you do not have one.

We are at the corner of NW 6th Avenue and NW 7th Street.  Morning service, Sunday school at 10:00 AM followed by 11:00 worship service, Sunday night at 6:00 PM.  Gary Moore – Pastor, 683-6547 Home, 543-3785, Gary‘s cell, 683-8106 Bevy’s cell.

“God always answers prayer,” but the answer is not always “yes”.
